Chittoor electoral schedule announced

CHITTOOR: A meeting with the representatives of all recognised national and State political parties in connection with the summary revision of electoral rolls 2008 was held here on Saturday. Speaking at the meeting District Collector S.S. Rawat has announced the schedule as follows: draft publication of rolls on November 19, filing of claims and objections from November 19 to December 3, special campaign days from November 25 to December 2 and disposal of claims and objections from December 4 to January 3, 2008. Final publication of rolls will be on January 1, 2008. In the special campaign, the appointed designated officers at all polling stations will receive claims and objections from 9a.m. to 6p.m. on these days. TDP district general secretary G. Srinivasulu urged the Collector to give instructions to the concerned officers to receive claims and objections impartially .
