Membership drive planned

Bangalore: “The Bharatiya Janata Party is a major threat to the country. We need to educate the younger generation about the dangers that communal forces pose to the nation’s unity and integrity,” said Krishna Byregowda, who took over as president of the Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee on Thursday.

He said his immediate task was to launch an aggressive membership drive to attract youngsters to the party and politics.

He said that the executive committee of the youth wing would meet here on November 21 to discuss making the membership drive a success. — Special Correspondent
