Mamata: dismiss Left government

Staff Reporter

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee on Saturday called on West Bengal Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi and demanded the dismissal of the Left Front government.

“Those who had assumed office by swearing by the Constitution were committing unconstitutional acts,” she told reporters later.

She was referring to Friday’s Calcutta High Court order which described the March 14 police firing at Nandigram as “unconstitutional.”
