Get set for a gala time at NLSIU from Thursday

BANGALORE: The student body at the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, is organising its annual literary and cultural festival Le’Gala from November 22 to 25.

The festivities begin with “Admit One,” the theatre festival which has been conducted as a distinct event since 2006. More than 20 productions from colleges as well as theatre groups all over the country are slotted to participate in this stage-play competition which will be held at Alliance Francaise de Bangalore from November 19 to 21.

The next event lined up for the week is “Rampart,” a fashion show, on November 22 being held at Nyx Club on Residency Road. It already has eight groups lined up for participation and has a lot of prize-money on offer.

The main components of Le’Gala of will be held on the NLSIU campus on November 23 and 24. The cultural section usually gets a large number of participating teams for competitions such as Eastern and Western music, choreography, mad-Ads and street plays, among others. The literary section has activities such as dumb bharades, pictionary, extempore, just-a-minute as well as creative writing. A notable component of the literary section is “Ipso Facto,” the quiz section which will feature 4 quizzes.

While the sports quiz, collegiate general quiz and the literature and entertainment quiz are meant for college students, the main draw is the NLS Open Quiz (Scheduled for November 24, 5 pm onwards ), which is open to all.
