Draft electoral rolls to be published today

Krishnagiri: The revised schedule of draft photo electoral rolls 2008 for the Assembly constituencies of Krishnagiri, Kaveripattinam, Bargur, Thally and Hosur in Krishnagiri district will be published on November 19, said District Election Officer and Collector Santhosh Babu here on Sunday.
Electors whose names were left out and those who have completed 18 years of age as on January 1, 2008 may submit applications along with their passport size photographs for inclusion at the concerned taluk offices.
The Collector said that Forms 6, 7, 8 and 8 A will be provided to facilitate for applying to the Electoral registration officer for inclusion, deletion, correction and part-to-part changes till December 8, 2007.
Special camps would be held on November 24 and December 2 and during the camp the designated officer will receive filled in application forms for inclusion, deletion, correction and part-to-part changes between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The voters should also submit their Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) at the time of visit by enumerators. The last date for disposal of claims and objections is December 13, 2007.
Capturing of images and printing of supplement would be carried out till January 2, 2008.
The Collector has appealed to the public to fill in and submit applications for Form 6 without any errors.
The applications should also include the signature of the applicant along with age and address proof.
The final rolls would be published on January 11, 2008, Mr. Babu added.
