Rajan Shetty is dead

Chitradurga: Rajan Shetty (67), a senior journalist and editor of the Hiriyur Vaara Patrike of Hiryur taluk, died after a heart attack on Saturday. Mr. Shetty had been running the weekly for the past 27 years.

According to family sources, he had been to Bellary to attend a programme, from where he had proceeded to Tirupati when he suffered the cardiac arrest.

He was immediately taken to a hospital in Bellary but pronounced dead on arrival. Mr. Shetty had served as president of the taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat. His body was brought to Hiriyur for the last rites. Mr. Shetty is survived by wife, a son
