Training programme to be completed in four months Mobile squads to monitor villages in Sirsi taluk SIRSI: Special training will be given to police constables, head constables and assistant sub-inspectors of Uttara Kannada in Karwar from November 20, according to Superintendent of Police N. Shivaprasad. He was addressing a press conference here on Sunday. Mr. Shivaprasad said that the training programme would be completed in four months. Police mobile squads would monitor law and order situation in all the villages of Sirsi taluk, he said. A police constable would look after a village, Mr. Shivaprasad said. Mr. Shivaprasad said that there was no naxal activity in Uttara Kannada district. However, the police were keeping a strict vigil across the district in the wake of the problem of naxalities in the neighbouring Udupi district, he added. Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhasha Sab and Circle Inspector Karunakar Shetty were present.
