Giridih: A road bridge on Barakar river in Giridih collapsed on Sunday injuring three persons and snapping links between the district headquarters and some blocks. Superintendent of police Murari Lal Meena said the incident happened around 10 a.m. and there was virtually no traffic on the bridge, which is the main link to Dumri, Nimiyaghati and Bagodar. This was the second such incident in a decade. The bridge was repaired after it had collapsed in 1998.
