KOLLAM: Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy has said that reservation alone will not ensure the progress of reserved communities. Inaugurating a seminar on reservation organised in connection with the State conference of the Akhila Kerala Dheevara Sabha in Karunagapally, near here, on Sunday, he said that only quality education would guarantee the progress of such communities. For this, the new generation had to be provided with quality education. With regard to the recommendations of the Justice Narendran Commission report, the leaders of reserved communities had taken a practical approach. As a result, they could make sure that 456 posts were not lost. President of the Samvarana Samudaya Munnani A.C. Thanu presided over the function.
