10 named for youth awards

BANGALORE: Ten youngsters and four youth associations have been selected for the Swami Vivekananda State Youth Awards for 2005-06 by the Department of Youth Services and Sports. The individuals are B.C. Vijaya Kumar; Mruthyunjaya Kulkarni, C. Hemalatha, Shivaiah Swamy Kamathana, C.S. Srikanth, N. Phalguna, Varadaraja Pai, G. Rajappa, Abha Somesh and S.S. Jyothi. The associations will be honoured with a citation, uniforms and Rs. 25,000 cash prize; individuals will get Rs. 10,000 cash prize, said a press release.
