NCC Day celebrated

ANANTAPUR: District Collector N. Sridhar has said that youth can play a vital role in the progress of the country and the NCC will play key role in shaping the youth into responsible citizens. He asked the school and college students to join NCC wherever possible as it will make them tough both physically and mentally.
Speaking at the NCC Day celebrations here on Sunday suggested the students not to feel let down by the failures and take the failures as stepping stones for success.
He assured allotment of site for conducting camp training to NCC cadets.
He also inaugurated a blood donation camp and gave away prizes to the cadets and officers.
Later, students of Sri Nruthya Kala Nilayam and Radha School of Learning presented cultural programmes on the occasion. The NCC cadets also performed several brave feats like pyramid formation, fire jumping and others.
Commanding Offier of 6th Andhra Girls Battalion Lt. Co. J.S. Thakur, officers Maj. Muralidhar Rao, Capt. Prabhakar Reddy, and others participated.
