Mr. A.P. Jain, Union Minister for Food and Agriculture, received the U.S.S.R. Agricultural Delegation, led by Mr. V.A. Chuvikov, Chief of the Main Board of Collective Farms Department in the U.S.S.R. Ministry of Agriculture, in New Delhi on November 15. The delegation also visited Bombay, Nagpur, Mysore, Bangalore, Madras, Bhubhaneshwar, Calcutta, Benaras and Lucknow. Mr. Chuvikov praised Indian experiments in cross-breeding and observed that these held out rich prospects for agricultural progress, particularly in improving the livestock wealth of the country.
