Health camp held
The VMC will soon come out with a permanent service project along with the Rotary Club of Vijayawada. This was stated by Chief Medical and Health Officer K. Srikaruna Murthy at the fifth free mega health camp organised by the Rotary Club of Vijayawada in association with the Forum for Child Rights, at Jandhyala Dakshina Murthy School in Vambay Colony. The camp focussed on paediatric diseases. Nine physicians rendered free service at the camp, attended by about 500 children. Medicines worth Rs.25,000 were donated free of cost.
Deputy Mayor Anne Prasanna inaugurated the camp. Thomas Koshy, vice-president of Krishna district unit of the forum, physicians G. Samaram, paediatrician Nori Suryanarayana, Rotary Club of Vijayawada president G.V. Mohan Prasad and local corporator B. Jana Reddy spoke.
