City Police Commissioner C.K. Gandhirajan has ordered the detention of

N. Krishnan (37), arrested on charges of selling ganja, under the Goonda’s Act. Krishnan was arrested on October 4 by a special team formed by Mr. Gandhirajan to nab persons suspected to be selling narcotic drugs in the city.

He was charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

A press release from the city police said that the Commissioner ordered the detention of Krishnan under the Goonda’s Act because the latter had many cases against him for alleged peddling of ganja.
