Digvijay dares Patwa to order probe
Bhopal: Daring senior BJP leader Sunderlal Patwa to order an inquiry against him, former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh on Sunday said he would not be cowed down by the saffron party’s threat and was open to any inquiry.
“I am not going to be afraid of BJP threats. Patwa is free to have whatever inquiry he wanted to do against me. His disciple is the chief minister of state and the government is headed by BJP. He is free to have inquiry without further delay,”Mr. Singh said in a statement here.
The AICC general secretary was reacting to former chief minister Patwa’s remarks on Saturday that while court and Lokayukta had shown haste in ordering and filing FIR against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, no action was taken against Mr.Digvijay Singh in a land scam case filed before Lokayukta in Indore on February 10, 2004. “Chauhan should resign if even a little morality is left in him as there is no example in the history of democratic India where cases against a CM and his wife has been filed,” he added.
