“Politics being criminalised”

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu is witnessing the trend of criminalisation of politics, Pattali Makkal Katchi founder S. Ramadoss said on Sunday. Reacting to the killing of two politicians on Saturday, the PMK leader said mercenaries and criminals, with the protection of politicians, had now entered politics. Some political figures had even become custodians of such persons. This caused great apprehension among the public. Dr. Ramadoss said those responsible for such acts of violence should be immediately arrested. — Special Correspondent
