Sena protest at Shahrukh’s house

Mumbai: Shiv Sena activists on Sunday protested outside actor Shahrukh Khan’s house in Bandra for insulting yesteryear actor Manoj Kumar in his film ‘Om Shanti Om.’

They raised slogans and demanded that the offensive sequence in the film be deleted.

Earlier, Mr. Kumar’s lawyer had said the veteran actor was contemplating legal action against the makers of ‘Om Shanti Om,’ as he was angry at a sequence in the film showing him being thrashed by policemen outside a theatre.

However, later Mr. Khan, who is the co-producer of the film, apologised to the actor. Director Farah Khan offered to delete the offending scene. — PTI
