Former CJI Pathak dies

R.S. Pathak

New Delhi: The former Chief Justice of India, R.S. Pathak, who headed the panel to look into the controversial U.N. Oil-for-Food scam, died here on Saturday following a heart attack.

Pathak, 82, was also the president of the Tribune Trust.

He breathed his last at the Max Hospital here, where he was admitted. His body was cremated on Sunday morning, family members said. — PTI
