Hooda promises sops to farmers

Rohtak: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday announced that in case State government acquired land for Special Economic Zones, farmers would be given Rs.30,000 a year for an acre for 33 years in addition to compensation.

Mr. Hooda said that there would also be an increase of Rs.1,000 a year for an acre to the royalty.

The Chief Minister was addressing a public meeting after laying the foundation stone of a sugar mill at village Bhali in this district.

Mr. Hooda said that the mill would start crushing from November 1 next year. — PTI
