Making a point: Veteran poet Channaveer Kanavi speaking at the valedictory function of the Dharwad Zilla Utsav at Siddharoodh Math in Hubli. HUBLI: The three-day cultural extravaganza, “Dharwad Zilla Utsav”, ended here on Sunday with cultural programmes continuing till midnight. A large number of people enjoyed the grand finale. Cultural programmes were held at 10 venues in Hubli and Dharwad. The nine exhibition venues in the twin cities registered a good turnout. Sopanam troupe from Thiruvananthapuram which staged a Sanskrit and Hindi play, “Malavikagnimitram”; Gundecha brothers; Sangeeta Katti; Samudaya troupe; and Shree Dance Trust enthralled the people on the final day. Speaking at the valedictory function, veteran poet Channaveera Kanavi said “Dharwad Zilla Utsav” was a success.
