Chitradurga: In his first public meeting after being removed from the post of administrator of the Murugharajendra Math, S.K. Basavarajan said that from now on he would be actively involved in politics. The Janata Dal (Secular) leader told presspersons here on Monday, that now he could concentrate more on party building in the district. Mr. Basavarajan was fired by the math on November 16, following allegations of misappropriation of funds of the math. He was also accused of bringing politics into the math after he joined politics against the wishes of the math seer Shivamurthy Murugha Sharana. He refuted the charges that he was fired following the corruption charges. He said that he was destined to serve the math only for that period.
