Control room opened for surveillance of diseases

NAMAKKAL: Health Department has opened a 24-hour control room to strengthen disease surveillance following rains in the district.

The control room, which functions from the office of the Deputy Director of Health Services, can be contacted in the following phone numbers: 04286-281104, 281424 or 1056.

People can inform officials manning the control room, if a large number of fever cases are reported in their area. Collector G. Sundaramurthi asked people to provide the name of the village and their contact details while informing the officials about the prevalence of diseases.
