Krishnagiri: District Revenue Officer V. Mohanraj on Monday published the summary revision of the draft photo electoral rolls for the Assembly constituencies of Hosur (75), Thally (76), Kaveripattinam (76), Krishnagiri (77) and Bargur (78) in Krishnagiri district with January 1, 2008, as the qualifying date. Mr. Mohanraj told reporters here on Monday that the last revision was carried out in May/June this year with reference to January 1, 2007 as the qualifying date. The draft photo electoral rolls would be displayed at the Collectorate, offices of Revenue Divisional Officers, electoral registration officers and assistant EROs, panchayat union offices, municipalities, offices of the village administrative officers, polling booths and post offices in Hosur, Thally, Kaveripattinam, Krishnagiri and Bargur for verification. The total number of voters in the draft roll is 8,74,808, including 4,45,195 men and 4,29,613 women voters. The break-upThe total number of voters in the Assembly segments is as follows: Hosur – 2,42,622 (1,27,159 men, 1,15,463 women); Thally – 1,46,666 (76,382 men, 70,284 women); Kaveripattinam – 1,55,182 (77,045 men, 78,137 women); Krishnagiri – 1,61,790 (80,139 men, 81,651 women); Bargur – 1,68,548 (84,470 men, 84,078 women). The rolls would be available at 478 Designated Photographic Location (DPL) in the district, he said. Mr. Mohanraj said that Forms 6, 7, 8 and 8 A will be provided to apply for inclusion, deletion, correction and part-to-part changes till December 8, 2007. Form 001 A would be kept at the designated location. It has to be submitted along with Forms 6, 7, 8 and 8 A. Special camps would be held on November 24 (Saturday) and December 2 (Sunday) and during the camp the designated officer will receive filled in application forms for inclusion, deletion, correction and part-to-part changes between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., he said. The District Revenue Officer appealed to voters to hand over two passport size colour photos to the election officials when they approached them to include their photos in the list. Revenue Divisional Officer Prakasam and PA General Kuppusamy were present.
