‘Maha padayatra’

HYDERABAD: The ‘Hindu Devalaya Parirakshana Samiti’ (Temples Protection Committee) which organised a ‘maha padayatra’ covering 1,450 km in six Telangana districts has visited 760 temples and met about three lakh persons as part of their campaign to abolish the Endowments Department.

The committee intends to collect one crore signatures to press the demand, according to M. Kamal Kumar, general secretary. Special Correspondent
