AG’s office stir: CITU leader hospitalised
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CITU leader E.A. Baby, who has been observing a fast in front of the Accountant General’s office here as part of the 15-day-old agitation of the employees of the office, was shifted to hospital on Monday on doctor’s advice.
His colleague K. Kamalasanan took over the fast, the CITU-affiliated Audit and Accounts Association said in a press release. Mr. Kamalasanan’s fast was inaugurated by CITU leader K.N. Raveendranath. The agitation is in protest against what the union terms “the autocratic tendencies” of the head of the office.
