Mr. G.D. Birla, leader of the Industrial Delegation which recently visited the United States, Canada, the U.K., France and Germany, addressing a press conference at the Indian Merchants’ Chamber Hall in Bombay on November 18, said: “With the desire of the world to help India we believe that if we create a proper climate we can definitely see the core of the plan through.” When asked how much foreign aid was expected from the United States, Mr. Birla said: “I personally estimate anything like 250 million dollars as loan through the Export-Import Bank, the World Bank and other agencies.”
