Aiyanna clinches title

Bangalore: Aiyanna defeated Anirudh Kumar 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 to claim the under-12 singles title in the Kensri Futures tennis tournament.

Earlier in the semifinals, Aiyanna defeated Krish 7-1 and Anirudh Kumar defeated Vaishnav 8-3.

In the Futures cricket tournament, BBUL Jain School defeated PSSBLA School by seven wickets, while in the basketball final, Kenstars defeated Kentigers 18-9.

The results (all finals):

Tennis: Aiyanna bt Anirudh Kumar 2-6, 6-4, 7-5.

Basketball: Kenstar bt Kentigers 18-9.

Cricket: PSSBLA School 56 lost to BBUL Jain School 57 for three.

CMP bags title

Corps of Military Police claimed the title with a 2-0 victory over Naveen Hockey Club in the BEL Colony Youth Association’s State-level tournament which concluded here on Saturday.

Baxla (ninth) and Sunil Minj (27th) scored for the winner.

Inter-collegiate football

The Karnataka State Football Association, along with the Rotary Club (Indira Nagar), will conduct an inter-collegiate tournament from December 3 to 14.

Tournament cancelled

The Baldwin Shield inter-school football tournament, which was scheduled to resume this week, has been cancelled as many of the participating schools plan to conduct their mid-term tests and examinations.

MEG posts win

MEG defeated Sports Hostel 25-18, 25-12, 25-16 in a State Association Cup volleyball tournament match at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium outdoor courts here on Monday.

Other results: KSP bt SAI 25-19, 25-18, 25-21; ITI bt BEL 25-18, 25-13, 25-23.

Boxing trials

The Karnataka Amateur Boxing Association will conduct selection trials at the Sports Authority of Karnataka Boxing hall here on Nov 23 at 7.30 a.m.

The State sub-junior team, which will participate in the National championship at Kohima, Nagaland from December 11 to 16, will be selected at the trials.

Those born between 1992 and 1996 are eligible to participate.

They must bring two passport size photographs, birth certificate (original plus a copy) at the time of the weigh-in.
