Educational CDs, VCDs expo

The expo features over 10,000 titles from Ramayana to mathematical formulas
VISAKHAPATNAM: In tune with shift in reading habits and the focus on computer-based education, Pebbles, an exhibition-cum-sale of computer CDs and Educational VCDs, is being organised at Vemana Mandir at Asilametta.
The expo features over 10,000 titles. Children are sure to be bowled over to see and listen to the epic Ramayana, the English adventure titles, fairy tales and adventure tales, Panchatantra, Tenali Raman and Birbal. The moral stories and animation films would also kindle their interest in learning new things.
The educational CDs on subjects like mathematics, biology, physics, chemistry and geography cater to students from preschool to Class XII. There are also CDs on word power, synonyms, crossword and to learn foreign languages like French, German and Spanish. Students appearing for competitive examinations like UPSC, GRE, GMAT, IIT and AIEEE can go through the section on dictionary CDs and CDs for competitive examinations. There are also CDs on management, personality and skill development and computer languages.
“The expo offers discounts ranging from 20 per cent to 50 per cent on various titles. Prices start from Rs.59,” according to exhibition in charge G.K. Anand. The exhibition will be on till November 27.
