Students bag prizes in contest

D Shakeena
VISAKHAPATNAM: D. Shakeena (class 8) of Sri Chaitanya Public School won the first prize at the district and club levels and Shayari Bhattacharya of (class 7) of De Paul School won the first prize at the club-level at the International Peace Poster Contest 2007-08 organised by the Lions Club International (Lions District 324 C 1).
Shakeena was given a cash prize of Rs.5,000 by the Lions Governor Grandhi Venkateswara Rao at a function held at Rajahmundry on Sunday.
The contest was conducted by club presidents Emandi Lakshmi and P. Appa Rao under the supervision of convener M. Jagadish Prasad and district chairperson (Peace Poster Contest) Susheela Nagaraju.
