Crafts for the asking

BANGALORE: If you have to pick up a gift item or a home accessory in a hurry, check out the ongoing exhibition of the Gujarat Handloom and Handicrafts Emporium at Safina Plaza. Although it claims to be Gujarat’s show, it has handlooms and handicrafts from other States as well. Traditional handicrafts and fabric work were on display not only from Gujarat, but also from other States like Kashmir, West Bengal, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka as well. The exhibition will be on till November 25.
Works from Gujarat include appliqué work and block print on fabrics from Ahmedabad, dabu prints from Bhuj, and embroidered cushion covers from Kutch.
