Draft photo poll rolls released in districts

Photo identity cards have been issued to 97.56 per cent of voters in Theni district

THENI: Electoral photo identity cards had been issued to 97.56 per cent of total voters in the district, said Collector Har Sahay Meena.

Releasing the draft photo electoral roll here on Monday, he said the district had 7,37,405 voters, including 1,50,927 voters in Periakulam, 1,60,759 in Theni, 1,39,481 in Bodi 1,34,931 in Cumbum and 1,51,307 in Andipatti assembly segments.

Voters who did not have photo identity card may affix two passport size photographs in Form 001B and submit it in respective polling stations for immediate action.

Voters who completed 18 years can submit Form-VI along with birth certificate for inclusion of name in the voter list.

They should also submit form EPIC 001A after affixing two passport size photos.

Forms VIII and VIII-A can be submitted for change of name, relationship and address.

Deletion and inclusion of names will take place till December 8 from November 19. Special camps for inclusion of names will be held on November 24, 25 and December 2. People should utilise this opportunity to include their names in the list.

Dindigul

Dindigul district had 10,99,901 voters as per draft electoral roll released by the Dindigul Revenue Divisional Officer A. Pechiammal here.

There was 0.2 per cent slump in total voters in Dindigul district after making necessary inclusion and deletion in the electoral roll dated September 2007.

A total of 754 names were added and 3,053 names deleted.

Total voters in Palani Assembly segment are 1,39,531, including 69,656 men and 69,497 women.

In Oddanchatram, the total voters are 1,36 531, of whom 68,366 are men 68,165 women. Nilakottai has 1,48,106 voters including 73,846 men and 74,260 women.

Number of voters in Natham is 1,52, 550 of whom, men are 76,027 and women 76,523. Similarly, Dindigul has 1,83,179 voters including 91,752 men and 91,427 women and Athoor segment has 1,61,979 voters of whom, men are 80,035 and women 81,944.

The total voters in Vedasandur are 1,78,403, including 88,820 men and 89,583 women.
