Man kills wife

MANGALORE: A case of a person stabbing his wife to death has been reported from Bantwal rural police station limits on Sunday. Police said Santhosh, resident of Mangaje in Kariyangala village of Bantwal taluk, picked a quarrel with his wife Ashwitha (20), and assaulted her with scissor near his house. Ashwitha, who sustained serious injuries, died while being taken to the hospital. Bantwal police have registered a case.

Uppinangady police have on Sunday recovered the body of a man at Shantinagar in Nidle village of Belthangady taluk. The body was in a highly decomposed state. The person is stated to have ended his life by hanging. Police have registered a case.
