“Education is an endless journey”

Staff Reporter

TIRUCHI: Knowledge through education is the base on which intellect expands in life, Justice K.N. Basha, Judge, Madras High Court, said on Sunday.

Education is an endless journey and students ought to set high ambitions and think innovatively for themselves. Courage, conviction, honesty and hard work lead to rewards. Discipline and dedication to work should be the watchword and students must hold teachers and parents in high regard, Justice Basha said conferring degrees on students of the Jamal Mohamed College.

Terming teachers as the greatest assets of an institution, he said they are the ones converting aspirations of the students into reality. The potential of youth was instrumental for the progress of India as well as other countries, he said, lauding the college’s alumni for their involvement in enhancing infrastructure. Colleges that serve the economically backward community by desisting from receiving capitation fee deserve appreciation. Urging the student community to eradicate communalism, he advised them to build bridges in the society on the foundation of love.

A total number of 971 students, including 379 post graduates and 35 M.Phil scholars received their degrees.
