KATHMANDU: The winter session of the interim Parliament has been adjourned for next 10 days soon after it began here on Monday. Speaker Subas Nembang adjourned the House as per the request of the Seven-Party Alliance leaders to “explore solution to the present political crisis.” The alliance had agreed to explore consensus to end the political deadlock. “Since we all agreed to strengthen the seven-party unity, we decided to put off the Parliament meeting and to do serious homework to find out a solution acceptable to all,” CPN-UML leader Jhala Nath Khanal told reporters after the meeting. The Alliance is in serious trouble following differences, especially the Nepali Congress and the Maoists, on declaring republic and changing the electoral system.
