DUBAI: Pakistan’s embattled President Pervez Musharraf is set to arrive in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. The state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that Gen. Musharraf will hold talks with King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz on “a number of regional and international issues.” This will be Gen. Musharraf’s first visit abroad after he imposed emergency rule in Pakistan recently. There has been speculation that the Pakistani President might meet the former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, who is in exile in the Kingdom. It has been announced that Gen. Musharraf will go on pilgrimage to Makkah — a city not far from Jeddah where Mr. Sharif resides.
