PUDUCHERRY: The Deputy General Manager and Circle Head of Indian Bank, M. Savarimuthu, has emphasised the need for self-assessment of employees for optimum output and providing excellent service to customers. Speaking at a symposium on commitments of bank employees as part of Vigilance Awareness Week at the bank recently, he said that when one sticks to the prescribed system and procedures, the probability for any type of fraud would be minimal. Assistant General Manager Sambasiva Rao, Chief Manager Luis and Vigilance Officer of the bank B.N. Eswaramoorthy were present , a release said. The Vigilance Awareness Week was observed at the Puducherry Central Excise Commissionerate from November 12 to 16. A special session was organised at the Chamber of Commerce with Commissioner K. Sekar stressing the need to wipe out corruption from society. The Vigilance Awareness Week was observed at the Pondicherry University with Vice-Chancellor J.A.K. Tareen administering the pledge to all faculty members, officers and staff.
