Students asked to donate blood regularly

For health: Zilla panchayat president C.N. Balakrishna inaugurating a blood donation camp in Hassan on Tuesday.

HASSAN: Zilla panchayat president C.N. Balakrishna has asked students to register for blood donation programmes.

He was addressing them after inaugurating a blood donation camp at Government ITI College here on Tuesday. The programme was jointly organised by the departments of Health and Family Welfare and Information, the NSS unit of the college, the Indian Red Cross Society and Lion’s Club, Hassan.

Mr. Balakrishna said that a healthy person could donate blood once every three months. The youth should participate in extracurricular activities. District health officer B.S. Nagaraja Rao was present.
