‘TDP useless party and its leaders unfit’
HYDERABAD: The ruling Congress has faulted the Telugu Desam for trying to utilise the Legislative Assembly as a platform to build tempo for the proposed protest on November 24 instead of allowing discussions on issues of public importance.
Agriculture Minister N. Raghuveera Reddy, Energy Minister Mohd. Ali Shabbir and others said the main Opposition’s “true colours” were exposed yet again as it “indirectly” blocked the passage of resolution demanding MSP to all crops. The TDP was a “useless” party and its leaders were “unfit” to be in politics, they said.
Speaking to reporters , the Ministers described the TDP and the BJP as “rythu drohi (betrayers of farmers)” and said they had no right to speak about welfare of farmers. Meanwhile, the other Opposition parties too expressed dissatisfaction over the proceedings said the House failed to discuss major issues. Floor leaders of the TRS, CPI (M), CPI and BJP lamented that the Assembly had turned out to be a ground for Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu to settle personal scores.
