KOZHIKODE: The Kozhikode district committee of the Kerala Higher Secondary Teachers’ Union has alleged that the modernisation of school curriculum and the panchayat-level discussions on the issue without proper representation for teachers are exercises in futility. The district meeting of the union held here blamed the organisers for not creating a proper forum for discussion. As a result, the entire exercise lacked transparency, it said. Nisar Cheleri presided over the meeting. The draft guidelines were not yet ready, it alleged. The teachers union wanted the government to create a proper platform in the panchayat or municipality wards where the discussions were yet to be held.
