We prefer fresh polls: Rajnath
Staff Reporter
Rajahmundry: Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh on Tuesday said the party preferred fresh elections in Karnataka.
At a press conference here before launching a “rythu poru bata” (farmers agitation) in East and West Godavari districts of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Singh said they were confident that the people of Karnataka would give full support to them as the Janata Dal(Secular) betrayed both the BJP and the people. “We are ready to be betrayed by others but we won’t betray others,” he added.
Mr. Singh said there was no link between 2009 Assembly elections and farmers’ stir in Andhra Pradesh.
