Rs. 1.13 lakh snatched

Three motorcycle-borne youngsters snatched a bag containing Rs. 1.13 lakh from a mobile phone shop owner T. Chandrashekhar on Monday night near Malkajgiri railway station. The businessman was returning home after closing the shop when the snatchers struck, the police said.

New-born’s body found

The body of a two-day-old unidentified baby girl, wrapped in clothes, was found behind the Niloufer Hospital compound wall at Red Hills on Tuesday.

Suspicious death

Kailash, 21, employee of a software company located at Madhapur, was found dead in the bathroom on Tuesday morning in suspicious circumstances, the local police said. The employee went to the bathroom around 6.30 a.m. and did not return to his seat. The security guard saw him lying unconscious in the bathroom and shifted him to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Boy electrocuted

A five-year-old boy B. Shiva was electrocuted when he tried to collect water from a borewell pump at Gandipet in Narsingi police station area on Tuesday. “The electric wires to the pump were not connected properly. As a result, power passed through the pump,” the Narsingi police station Inspector K. Rambhupal Rao said.
