Municipal engineer held on graft charge

HYDERABAD: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Tuesday arrested a Deputy Executive Engineer of GHMC Dath Panthu, working at L.B. Nagar, on charges of amassing wealth illegally.

Searches at the engineer’s house in Hasthinapur of Karmanghat and those of his relatives in and around the city revealed that he acquired assets worth over Rs. 60 lakh that were disproportionate to his known sources of income, a press release said. He would be produced before a local special court.
