No offence intended, says Achuthanandan

KOCHI: Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan has clarified that his statement on the import of palm oil was not meant to offend anyone. “My aim was to highlight the woes of over 35 lakh coconut farmers in the State,” he said, when mediapersons sought his comments on the High Court’s reaction to his statement. He did not speak any further, and headed towards the boat waiting for him, after the inauguration of the National Waterway III.
