Ravi Shankar offers to mediate

Kolkata: Spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on Tuesday offered to mediate for peace in violence-hit Nandigram, saying he would soon seek an appointment with West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee to work out a solution.

“I would like to bring the warring groups across the table and work out a solution.”

He, however, expressed doubt whether the government of the Left-ruled State would take help from a spiritual personality. — PTI
