DUBAI: Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf arrived in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday on a two-day visit, which is likely to focus on the possible return to Pakistan of the former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif. Gen. Musharraf was welcomed at Riyadh Airbase by Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal and president of the general intelligence Meqrin bin Abdulaziz. In an interview with the Pakistani newspaper Dawn, Mr. Sharif said he would not meet Gen. Musharraf in Saudi Arabia. He said he would return home only after the emergency rule imposed by the President had been lifted.
