INL activist killed

KASARAGOD: A six-member gang attacked and murdered Aabid (24) an activist of the Indian National League (INL) at Blarkotee in the district on Tuesday evening.

Aabid was talking to his friends when the assailants arrived on motorcycles and attacked him. According to the police, the assailants attacked Aabid with rods and swords and grievously injured him. Aabid succumbed to his injuries.

The police said a gang of youth from Mogral Puthur in the district with whom Aabid and his friends had clashed earlier were suspected to be behind the attack.
