Two students suffer burns

TIRUPATTUR: Two elementary school students sustained burns as hot water from the radiator of a van splashed on them at Kurumberi near Tirupattur here on Wednesday.

According to police, Thirunavukuarasu (3) and Ranjith (8), studying in a private school at Kurumberi, were going home at 3-45 p.m. by the van. When the vehicle reached the Kurumberi junction, it stopped as the radiator had become too hot.

The two students were standing beside the driver while he was checking the radiator. The hot water from inside splashed on them owing to pressure. Both the students were admitted to Tirupattur General Hospital.
