Girl donates liver to save man

HYDERABAD: Doctors at Kamineni Hospitals, here, carried out a liver transplant on a 59-year-old man from Gujarat who was suffering from end-stage liver disease caused by Hepatitis C. The donor was an 11-year-old girl, Shankari Thyagarajan of B.P.D.A.V. School, Midhani. The recipient, Puroshatham Bhai Kanji Bhai, had recovered and was discharged on Wednesday. –Special Correspondent
