BANGALORE: The Lokayukta police on Tuesday caught G.L. Shivakumar, Junior Assistant in the office of Registrar (Evaluation) of Bangalore University, while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 1,000 for issuing marks card.
According to a release, Shivakumar demanded Rs. 2,000 from Nagaraj of Arkalgud for issuing BBM marks cards of his daughter B.N. Sitara. Nagaraj paid Rs. 1,000 before lodging a complaint.
The Lokayukta police caught Shivakumar while he was allegedly receiving the balance amount.
He was arrested for committing an offence under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
