“There is a need to encourage children to take to learning swimming at pools. More pools should be constructed so that they learn and also understand the dangers involved in swimming.

Rescue boats should be anchored in water opposite the beach so that they could undertake emergency operations.

Water sports like surfing, skiing and rescue boating should be promoted.

EMRI 108 is rendering yeomen service in shifting accident victims to hospitals, it could extend its service to train youth in rendering first aid to drowning victims.”
